Use this object to configure the action that needs to be taken when a trigger is encountered. An action is specified by an action index andan  action type and action typeis associated with a specific trigger action rule.

Actions

On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > Profiles > Services > Retry Profile > Trigger Action Rule > Action.


 The Action window is displayed.

To Edit Action

Select the Action from the Action List window

Select a Retry Profile and Trigger Action Rule index to filter the list of actions.

  • Make changes and click Save. Click Clear to cancel the changes.
  • To Create an Action

    1. In the Retry Profile list, select the name of the Retry Profile that contains the trigger action rule to which the new action applies.
    2. In the Trigger Action Rule list, select the index of the rule to which you want to add the action. 
    3. Click New Action

    To Copy Action

    Select the Action from the Action List window.

  • Click Copy Action on the Action List window.
  • The Copy Selected Action window is displayed.

  • Make changes and click Save. Click Clear to cancel the changes.
  • To Create Action

    1. Click New Action on the Action List window.
    2. The Create New Action window is displayed.

    3. Make changes and click Save. Click Clear to cancel the changes.

    The parameters displayed on the Create New Action window are:

     

    1. Use the following table to configure the new action you are adding to the specified trigger action rule and then click Save.

    Note: An Actionaction can include more than one Action Type. However, it does not support both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses at the same time.

    Delete Action

    Edit an Action

    To edit an action:

    1. Click the radio button next to the index for the action you want to edit. The Edit Selected Action window opens.
    2. Make the required changes and click Save.

     To Copy an Action

     To copy an action and make changes to the copy:

    1. Click the radio button next to the index for the action you want to copy.

    2. Click Copy Action. The Copy Selected Action window opens.
    3. Make the required changes and click Save.

     To Delete an Action

    To delete an action: 

    1. Click the radio button next to the index for the action you want to delete.
    2. Click the delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
    3. Confirm the deletion when prompted

    1. Click the delete icon corresponding to the selected Action.
    2. The Delete action dialog-box is displayed.

    3.  Click Yes to confirm deletion, or No to cancel it.
    4. On successful deletion, a success message is displayed.
    5. Click Ok on the success message to complete the deletion process.
