This object contains signaling packet capture devices and admin state. The Signaling Use the Signaling Packet Capture window to configure the Signaling Packet Capture utility. Signaling Packet Capture data is stored in a ".PKT" file under in the location: /var/log/sonus/evlog/evlog location.

Note

In the absence of any device or filter configuration, The Signaling Packet Capture will capture only the SIP/H323 signaling for calls which are traced by Call Trace Filters.

To View and Edit Signaling Packet Capture

This utility is intended for use in debugging and should only be used with a limited number of calls at any one time. 

On the On SBC main screen, go to to Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Configuration > Call Trace >Signaling Packet Capture.

The Signaling Packet Capture window is displayed.

Signaling Packet Capture TimerSpecifies the The signaling packet capture timer in seconds. It describes the call trace timer , in minutes, for both Calls and Error Trace Filterscall and error trace filters. The value ranges from 0 to 360 seconds and the minutes, with a default value is of 180 seconds.
State

Use this flag to enable/disable Signaling Packet Captures. It also specifies the administrative state of signaling packet capture:signaling packet captures by enabling/disabling the timer.
