The Current Alarms screen displays alarms that Alarms window lists SBC alarms which have not been cleared.

 To View Current Alarms

On SBC main the

 main screen, go to Monitoring > Dashboard > Alarms >Current Alarms or
Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Tools > Alarms > Current Alarms

. The Current Alarms window is displayed.

The Current Alarm Status screen window displays the following fields:

Parameter

Description

Severity Filter

Status FilterStatus

filter displays only the alarms with the selected type of Status. The Status options, All,Active, and Acknowledged are provided in a drop-down box. By default, the filter option is set to AllSpecifies the status of the alarm.

Comments Filter

Comments filter displays alarms with any specific comment (if any). You should be aware of the alarm comment for which you are performing the filter.

Specifies any comments that were added to the alarm.

Time

The timestamp when the alarm occurred

Time/Date Filter

Time/Date Range filter displays all the alarms within the specified time or date duration. A calender with time is provided as an option for you to select the duration and time for which you want to perform the filter functionality.

Description

A short, system-generated description of the event message. This is system generated message.

By default, the Current Alarms screen displays only five current alarms status. You can select the number of alarms you want to view in the Show entries drop-down list.

Filters

You can now filter the alarms to view only a subset of the required current alarms. All the filter options are right Filter options appear above their respective columns. Here are the filter options:

  • Severity Filter: Severity filter displays Displays only the alarms with the selected severity. The severity options, Select All, Urgent, Major, Minor, and Info are provided in a or Info in the drop-down boxlist. By default, the filter option is set to to All.
  • Status Filter: Status filter displays Displays only the alarms with the selected status type of Status. The Status options, All, Active, and Acknowledged are provided in a drop-down box. In the Cleared Alarm ListAll and Cleared are equivalent. By default, the filter option is set to to All.
  • Comments Filter: Comments filter displays alarms with any specific comment (if any). You should be aware of the alarm comment for which you are performing the filter.
  • Time/Date Range Filter: Time/Date Range filter displays Displays all the alarms within the a specified time or date duration. A calender with time is provided as an option for you to select the duration and time for which you want to perform the filter functionalityClick the calendar icon and select the date/time range for the alarms.

  • Alarm Description Filter: Alarms Description filter displays   Enter a text string above the Description column to list only those specific alarms which matches the description text entered in the filter. You should be aware of the text that would exist as a part of the alarm description to fetch the correct results. This is system generated message.

You can refresh the screen using the refresh button Image Removed provided just below the filter option.

To Edit Current Alarm

After specifying a filter, you can refresh the list using the refresh icon below the filter options.

To Clear or Add a Comment to a Current Alarm

To edit a current alarm to change its status or to add a comment:

  1. In the Status field, click an option to specify a new alarm status. The options are: Active, Acknowledged and Cleared

  2. In the Comments field, enter your comment that you want to appear in the Current Alarm List.
  3. Click Save.

Change the status of the alarm if required and add additional information in Comments  text box and click Save to save your edits.

To Clear Current Alarm

To clear any of the Current Alarms listed, click the radio button next to the specific Alarm name.

Select Cleared for the status and click Save to save the changes. The selected alarm gets cleared from the Current Alarm List panel.

Note

The alarms cleared in this fashion are displayed in Alarms - Cleared Alarms.

To Clear Multiple Alarms

To clear multiple alarms from the Current Alarms List panel, click Clear All Alarms Shown or Clear All Alarms in System.

The following options helps you to clear the current alarms displayed:

 to clear all of the alarms that currently appear in the window, or click Clear All Alarms in System

to clear all alarms present in the SBC system

, including those shown in the window.

If the alarms table is filtered, the Clear All Alarms in System button changes to Clear All Filtered Alarms.

Enable Live Feed

Enabling Live Feed updates will cause the alarms automatically. The Alarms table gets updated periodicallylist to periodically update automatically. If there are any new alarms when Live Feed is enabled, the alarm gets is listed in the table. If it is disabled, you have to refresh the table manually.
