You may for various reasons, such as change in your network topology, need to change the IP Address and/or the Default Gateway on your Sonus SBC 1000/2000
. You may also wish to configure a Secondary IP Address for the
Sonus SBC 1000/2000. A secondary IP address gives the
Sonus SBC 1000/2000 the ability to be part of another IP subnet on the same Ethernet port. Configuring a Secondary IP Address is accomplished using the same UI elements as changing the IP Address.

---|
The recommended method of changing the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 IP and/or Default gateway is through the Tasks Tab in the WebUI. This is because the IP Addresses and Default Gateway IP Address must be changed simultaneously. Other methods of accomplishing this task are strongly discouraged as they will, in all likelihood, result in a loss of communication with the Sonus SBC 1000/2000. |
