Rebooting the system interrupts all services for several minutes.

Rebooting the system stops all networking services while the operating system and networking services are reloaded. Reboot is functionally equivalent to power cycling the system. Technical support may request that the system be rebooted during a troubleshooting session.

As an alternative to rebooting, you can perform a reset locally by temporarily disconnecting the power cable from the

To Reboot the System

  1. Choose Admin > Reboot System.


  2. Enter the reason for reboot in Reason for Reboot text field.

     logs the default reason if the user doesn't specify any reason for rebooting the system. The default reason is "Default reason: administrator rebooted device".


  3. Click Reboot. The following message displays: “All voice, video, and data services will be interrupted. They will be unavailable for several minutes while the system reboots. Do you want to continue?”
  4. Click OK to confirm.
