A SIP trunking device can be a PSTN gateway or similar device that does not issue REGISTER messages. Calls are forwarded to the device based on dial plan rules.

Info
titleNote

If VLANS are enabled, the SIP trunking device must have the same VLAN as defined on the VoIP ALG home page. Refer to Use VoIP ALG Settings. If internal FXO ports are available (on appropriate platforms) and enabled, they act as a default device unless configured otherwise.

  1. Choose VoIP > SIP > ALG.
  2. Scroll to SIP Trunking Devices.

  3. Configure settings using the information in the following table as a guide.

    SIP Trunking Devices

Adds and manages available SIP trunking devices in a list.

Note: Do not connect to the network until all registered trunking devices are completely configured on the ALG Trunking page. Otherwise the registrations will create separate client entries in the system database and will not be recognized as trunking device lines. If this happens, go to the SIP Clients List page and delete these entries. Choose VoIP > Clients List and refer to Configure the Clients List.

    Action

Add or edit a SIP trunking device in the Add a trunking device window.

AddressEnter the SIP trunking IP address.

If internal FXO ports are available (on appropriate platforms) and enabled, they will act as a default device unless configured otherwise.
