Use Codec Routing Priority configuration to select an ingress codec and then specify the priority values to apply to specified egress codecs if the ingress codec is present in the ingress PSP for a call. Refer to Prioritizing routes based on HD codec for more information on routing priority.
Use the Codec Routing Priority window to select an ingress codec and specify the priority for one egress codec. You can add additional egress codecs and their priority values using the Entry window that appears below the Codec Routing Priority window in the EMA navigation hierarchy.
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Media Profiles > Codec Routing Priority or
All > Profiles > Media > Codec Routing Priority.
The Codec Routing Priority window opens with the list of any ingress codecs for which entries for egress codec priority are configured.

To Add an Ingress Codec Group
To add and configure an Ingress Codec Group:
Click New Codec Routing Priority. The Create New Codec Routing Priority Window opens.
- In Ingress Codec Group, select the ingress codec for which you want to configure egress codec priorities. The options are AMRWB, EVS, G722, G7221, G7291, L16, MSRT, OPUS, and SILK.
- In Egress Codec Group, select the codec for which you want to set a priority. The options are AMRWB, EVS, G722, G7221, G7291, L16, MSRT, OPUS, and SILK.
- In Codec Priority, enter the numeric priority to assign to the egress codec.
- Click Save.
You can add more priority entries to the Codec Routing Priority for other egress codecs using the Entry window that appears below the Codec Routing Priority window in the navigation hierarchy.
To Delete a Codec Routing Priority
To delete the Codec Routing Priority configuration object for an ingress codec and all its associated entries:
- In the Ingress Codec Group list, click the radio button next to the name of the codec for which you want to delete the configuration.
- Click the Delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
