  • PSX must be configured to accept the NP Gateway connections
  • DSC must be able to exchange User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets with the PSX

  • PSX Host and the underlying PSX Host Connection objects have to be connected (registered with the PSX)

     

In case of PSX alarms, verify the following:

  • PSX is running
  • PSX Host has the host and port configured on the DSC corresponding to the host and port on which the PSX is listening for DSC Gateways (refer to PSX Node Configuration)
  • The Host attribute of the PSX Host object resolves to the correct IP address on the affected DSC routing slot if you are using a hostname for the PSX Host (ping the PSX host from the DSC routing slot) 

  • Each routing slot has been configured with appropriate IP routes to reach the PSX, using the correct Ethernet device (ping the PSX host from the DSC routing slot)
  • PSX has been configured with appropriate IP routes to reach the DSC slot (ping the PSX host from the DSC routing slot)
  • You have created an appropriate firewall module on the DSC to allow UDP traffic to and from the PSX, and that you have restarted the firewall with that configuration (refer to Firewall Configuration)
  • PSX has been configured with a DSC Gateway that matches the Gateway Name of the PSX Host Connection
