one of the following errors against a EDNS query from the DNS server:

  • NOT_IMPLEMENTED
or
  • FORMAT_ERR
or
  • SERVER_FAILURE
to EDNS query from DNS server.

Action

Do one of the following to avoid receiving this alarm:

  • Bypass the DNS server
for
  • to prevent further eDNS queries.
  • Set the DNS Group flag, dnsFallback, to “disabled” to send an EDNS request towards the DNS server irrespective of any DNS failure response. For configuration details, refer to DNS Group - CLI.

Impact

The DNS Server is barred for
