The Microsoft Skype for Business SDN (Software-Defined Networking) API provides an interface for network management systems to access Skype network diagnostic data for monitoring Skype network traffic and optimizing the Skype quality of service experiences. In order to fully benefit this technology on the Sonus
SBC, you can deploy the SDN listener on your Branch Office Appliance.

- Log on to the DNS server and open the DNS Manager.
- Choose the zone in which to create the service location record (Current Domain, Forward Lookup Zone).
- From the Context menu, select Other New Records ... Navigate to Service Location, and select Create Record.
- Provide the following values in the form:
- Service: _sdninternal
- Protocol: _http or _https
- Port number: 9333 (9332 for https)
- Host offering the LSM service: FQDN of the host computer (for example, SdnPool.LneProd.contoso.com)

Before you Begin
This operation can only be performed when the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 Communication service becomes operational. In other words, only when a valid ASM IP address has been configured either via the Initial Setup or the ASM IP Settings. |
- Download the roll-up file from Sonus Ribbon Support Portal - Download Center and save it on your desktop or other convenient location.
- Launch your preferred browser. See Supported Platforms.
- Through the WebUI, login to the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 the node.
- Follow instructions in Installing an ASM Package.
