This section describes to configure the Signaling SBC parameters using SBC configuration manager and activating the Signaling SBC cluster using Cluster/VNF Management.

Configuring and Activating Signaling SBC Cluster

  1. Log on to the EMS.
  2. In Network Management pane, click Cluster / VNF Management.
    The Cluster/VNF Management window appears.

  3. In Cluster/VNF Management window, perform the following:

    1. Select the Signaling SBC Cluster from Cluster/VNF List section. The Cluster <name> section appears in the screen.

    2. Click Configurations tab from Cluster ssbc section.

    3. Click New Configuration. The New Configuration section appears in the screen.

    4. In New Configuration section, Select Version, Master Configurator from the drop-down menu, and enter Configuration Name.

    5. Click Create.
      The Configurator clears the database and reboots. The Rebooting takes approximately five minutes.

Configuring and Activating Signaling SBC Configuration

Procedure:

  1. Select the Signaling SBC Cluster.
  2. Click Configuration tab. Click New Configuration, the new configuration window is displayed.
  3. Select Version and Master Configurator from the drop-down menu. Enter the Configuration Name.

    Click Create (the configurator clears db and reboots. Rebooting might take 2-4 minutes)

      The New Configuration section is closed and an Open Editor button appears in the Cluster ssbc section.

    2. Click Open Editor to launch SBC Configuration Manager.

  5. In the Cluster Management page click Activate Configuration./VNF Management screen, a new ssbc section appears in the screen.

    The configuration is successfully activated on SSBC cluster. The Cluster Status displays All nodes online, once the configuration is successfully activated.

Create an IP Interface Group

  1. Log on to EMS SWe.
  2. In Network Management, click Cluster/VNF Management. The Manage Cluster/VNFs list is displayed.
  3. Select Signaling SBC Cluster and navigate to the Configurations tab.
  4. Select

  5. Click View Configuration. The SBC Configuration Manager page displays.

Create an IP Interface

  1. Select Address Context > IP Interface Group > IP Interface. The IP Interface List page displays.

    1. Select default Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
    2. Select an interface group created from the IP Interface Group drop-down menu. For example, SLIG1.
    3. Click + New IP Interface. The Create New IP Interface section displays.
    4. Enter a name for the interface. For example, SLIF1.
    5. Enter IP Meta key for IP Var V4, Prefix Var V4, IP Public Var V4, IP Var V6, IP Prefix Var V6, IP Public Var V6, and IP VLAN Tag Var fields.
    6. Select Mode as In Service.
    7. Select State as Enabled.
    8. Enter the CE Name. For example, vsbcSystem.
    9. Select pkt0 port from the Port Name drop-down menu.
    10. Click Save.

  2. Repeat step 1 to add an interface for SLIG2 interface group with IP interface as SLIF2 for pkt1 port in a different Interface Group SLIG2. The two interfaces are listed.

Create Static Route

  1. Select Configuration > System Provisioning > Static Route. The Static Route List Page is displayed.
  2. Select default from the Address Context dropSelect AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
  3. Click + New Static Route. The Create New Static The Create New Static Route section displays.
  4. Enter the Destination IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
  5. Enter the Prefix value.
  6. Enter the Next Hop IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
  7. Select the IP Interface Group Name from the drop-down menu.

  9. Enter the Preference Value, default value is 100.
  10. Click Save.

  2. Select defaultSelect AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.

  3. Select the DNS group created from the DNS Group drop-down menu. For example, DSBC_DNS.

  4. Click + New Server. The Create New Server section displays.

  5. Enter the server name.

  6. Select State as Enabled.

  7. Enter the DNS server IP in the IP Address V4 or V6 field.

  8. Click Save.
