Use the Route page to create static routes on the system. Static routes may be needed to support network applications (such as a web server) that are allowed through the firewall and directed to a specific IP address or subnet.
Note |
---|
|
Static routes may prevent the other networking features in the system from functioning properly. |
Choose Network > Static Routes.
- Configure settings using the information in the following table as a guide. When you finish configuring settings, click Add to make your changes take effect. Click Submit All to save all settings on the page.

| Add a Static Route Creates a static route on the system.
| IP Network | Enter an IPv4 or an IPv6 address for the remote network or host in the IP Network field. | Network Mask | Enter the subnet mask of the remote network address. - For an IPv4 network, this may be defined in the form of a bit mask (for example, 255.255.255.0) or a network mask length (for example, 24). When defining a host route for IPv4, the netmask should be set to 255.255.255.255 or 32.
- For an IPv6 network, this must be the network mask length (for example, 48). When defining a host route for IPv6, the netmask should be 128.
| Gateway | Enter the IPv4 or IPv6 address of the router on this device's LAN network that is routing for the remote network or host. |
|

- In the Static Routes list, select check-boxes for the entries that you want to delete; click All to choose all entries or click None to clear your selections.
