Port-based QoS Configuration allows the user to configure the traffic priority per port.

It allows the device to get the best performance while connecting to a range of devices. You can configure each port on the device for QoS LAN settings using different priority levels for network traffic. This allows the router to prioritize and handle traffic differently on each port.

  1. Choose Switch > Port-Based QoS.
  2. Configure the settings using information in the following table as a guide.

    ItemDescription
    PortLists ports on the system.
    Priority

    Sets the priority level for the outbound traffic of that port from the Priority drop-down list. A higher value indicates higher priority.

    Note: The option 4 (highest priority) is the default setting.

    (1) Lowest: Background data

    (2) Normal: Business-critical data, email, Internet, etc.

    (3) Medium: Stream multimedia

    (4) Highest: Real-time voice, high-quality video, and delay-sensitive data



  3. Click Submit.
