A Domain Specific DNS Server is configured through the Split-DNS settings. The following section describes how to configure the Split-DNS.

Configuring Split-DNS
To create a Split-DNS entry:
- In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
In the left navigation page, go to Protocols > DNS > Split-DNS. An IPv4 example is shown below; you can configure the DNS Server IP using IPv4 or IPv6 format.
Click the Create Split DNS List Entry () icon at the top of the Split DNS page.
- Enter the following information.
- In DNS Server IP, enter the IP address for the specific domain (IPv4 or IPv6).
In Domain Name, enter the domain name for the specific domain.
Click OK.
The entry now appears in the Split DNS table.

DNS Server IP
The DNS Server IP is the IP address that can resolve names configured to the specified Domain Name attribute. Valid entry: IP address (IPv4 or IPv6).

You can associate a DNS server with many domain names. Ensure to configure one entry for each DNS server and domain combination. When a domain-specific DNS server fails, it fails over to the next domain-specific DNS server associated with that domain. Global DNS servers are not used for a domain, even if all of the configured domain-specific DNS servers fail. |
Domain Name
Name of the specified domain to use for Split DNS. Valid entry: maximum of 255 characters.
