This object creates and configures a call admission control (CAC) profile providing the ability for each SIP registered or static endpoint to have individualized limits on the number of active calls and the call rate. A limit on active calls (CALL LIMIT) is applied to calls in either the ingress or egress direction, whereas policing controls (RATE, BURST-SIZE) apply to ingress and egress calls separately. To View SIP CAC ProfileOn the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: CAC Provisioning > Sip Cac Profile. The SIP CAC Profile window is displayed. Figure 3: CAC Provisioning - Sip Cac Profile Fields Image Modified The Create New SIP CAC Profile window is displayed. Figure 4: CAC Provisioning - Sip Cac Profile Create Window Image Modified The following fields are displayed: Table 1: SIP CAC Profile Parameters Parameter | Description |
---|
Name
| Specifies the name of the SIP Call Admission Control (CAC) profile you are configuring. Must be 1-23 characters. | State
| Specifies the administrative state of this SIP CAC Profile: Disabled (default)Enabled
NOTE: Setting a SIP CAC profile state to "Disabled " does not disable SIP CAC functionality on IP Peers to which the SIP CAC profile is assigned. To disable SIP CAC functionality on a specific IP Peer, disassociate the SIP CAC profile from the IP Peer. | Call Limit Threshold
| Specifies the call limit utilization notification threshold limit. The value range from 0 to 100. | Call Ingress Rate
| Specifies the maximum call arrival rate from a peer or registered endpoint per RATE- PERIOD. Must be 0-500 (calls) or unlimited; default is 0. A value of 0 indicates that call rate policing is not applicable. | Call Ingress Rate Period
| Specifies the period in seconds over which the CALL INGRESS RATE applies. Must be 1-10 seconds; default is 1. | Call Ingress Brust Size
| Specifies the maximum call burst size from a peer or registered endpoint. Must be 1- 500; default is 1. | Call Ingress Emergency Preference
| Specifies whether to enable call emergency preference in the Ingress mode or not. The default value is disabled . | Call Ingress Aggregate Preference
| Specifies the preference of calls within the aggregate policer in the Ingress mode. | Call Ingress Aggregate Emergency Preference
| Specifies the emergency preferences of calls within the aggregate policer in the Ingress mode. | Call Egress Rate
| Specifies the maximum call rate to a registered endpoint or peer per RATE-PERIOD. Must be 0-500 (calls) or unlimited; default is 0. A value of 0 indicates that call rate policing is not applicable. | Call Egress Rate Period
| Specifies the period in seconds over which the CALL EGRESS RATE applies. Must be 1-10 seconds; default is 1. | Call Egress Brust Size
| Specifies the maximum call burst size for calls to a registered endpoint or peer. Must be 1-500 (calls); default is 1. | Call Egress Emergency Preference
| Specifies whether to enable call emergency preference in the Egress mode or not. The default value is disabled . | Call Egress Aggregate Preference
| Specifies the preference of calls within the aggregate policer in the Egress mode. | Call Egress Aggregate Emergency Preference
| Specifies the emergency preferences of calls within the aggregate policer in the Egress mode. | Call Limit
| Specifies the maximum number of active calls to and from any registered endpoint or peer (the total number of ingress and egress calls). Default is unlimited . | Bandwidth Limit
| Specifies the maximum bandwidth a peer can use in kbps. The value range from 0 to 2147483647 k bits/second or unlimited . | Bandwidth Limit Threshold
| Specifies the bandwidth limit value in percentage. The value range from 0 to 100. | Bandwidth Video Threshold | Specifies the threshold value (as a percentage of video bandwidth) to limit video streams to a specific bandwidth to prevent video calls consuming call bandwidth otherwise needed for audio calls. The value range from 0 to 100 and the default value is "0" which indicates no video threshold value. | Emergency Oversubscription
| Oversubscription of calls (as a percentage) allowed for emergency calls. Enter value in range of 0-1000. Oversubscription of calls (as a percentage) allowed for emergency calls. When the baseline limit is reached, normal calls will be stopped but emergency calls will be allowed up to this additional percentage. | Extended Emergency Ip Limit | Additional number of emergency calls (expressed as a numeric value) allowed if call limit and emergency oversubscription quota are exhausted. The value ranges from 0 to 40000 and the default value is 0. | Call Limit Ingress
| Specifies the maximum number of inbound active calls. The value range from 0 to 30000 or unlimited . | Emergency Oversubscription Ingress
| Specifies the oversubscription of calls (as percentage) allowed for inbound emergency calls. Once the baseline limit is reached, normal calls are blocked but emergency calls are allowed. The value range from 0 to 1000. | Extended Emergency Ip Limit Ingress | Additional number of emergency calls (expressed as a numeric value) allowed for ingress CAC group if call limit and emergency oversubscription quota are exhausted. The value ranges from 0 to 40000 and the default value is 0. | Call Limit Egress
| Specifies the maximum number of outbound active calls. The value range from 0 to 30000 or unlimited . | Emergency Oversubscription Egress
| Specifies the oversubscription of calls (as percentage) allowed for emergency calls. The value range from 0 to 1000. | Extended Emergency Ip Limit Egress | Additional number of emergency calls (expressed as a numeric value) allowed for egress CAC group if call limit and emergency oversubscription quota are exhausted. The value ranges from 0 to 40000 and the default value is 0. |
