Description

This event indicates that an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) signaling link is unavailable for user traffic. Possible reasons for link unavailability are as follows:

  • OUT-OF-SERVICE
  • BLOCKED
  • INHIBITED

Action

Get the link IN-SERVICE at MTP3 by addressing any of the following link states:

  • BLOCKED
  • INHIBITED
  • UNALIGNED

After addressing these, MTP3 link states should then be IN-SERVICE. When this happens, a changeback procedure should complete, then the alarm should clear. In some cases it may be necessary to wait for the completion of the procedure for being adjacent to a restarting node.
