The Use the Cluster Comm window on SBC SWe Cloud supports the system object Cluster Admin > Cluster Commsystems to configure interfaces for intra-cluster VNFC communication interfaces for use with the communication among nodes. This configuration is required prior to configuring use of a Load Balancing Service.

For more information on configuring the Load Balancing Service for intra-cluster VNFC communication, refer to Load Balancing Service - CLI.


On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > System > Cluster Admin > Cluster Comm.

Type

Interface type used by Load Balancing Service for intra-cluster VNFC communication.

  • Mgmt (default)
  • IP
Mgmt Interface Group

The management interface group for intra-cluster VNFC communication.

  • mgmtGroup (default)
Mgmt IP Var

The configuration meta variable (1-255 characters) that fetches the IP address of the management ports for intra-cluster VNFC communication.

Address Context

Address Context for intra-cluster VNFC communication, when packet interface is used.

Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP.

IP Interface Group

The IP Interface Group for intra-cluster VNFC communication, when packet interface is used.

Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP, and a valid Address Context is selected from the dropdown list.

Pkt IP Var

The configuration meta variable (1-255 characters) that retrieves the IP address of packet ports for intra-cluster VNFC communication.

Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP.

 

To Configure the Interface Type as Mgmt

  1. By default, the Type parameter is set to Mgmt.
  2. Select the Mgmt Interface Group and the Mgmt IP Var from the respective adjacent dropdown drop-down list.

  3. Click Save to save the configuration, or Undo Edits to cancel all changes.

To Configure the Interface Type as IP

  1. Click the radio button corresponding to the value IP of the parameter Type. The parameters Address Context and Pkt IP Address are displayed.

  2. Select the Address Context from the adjacent dropdown drop-down list. The parameter IP Interface Group is displayed.

  3. Select the IP interface Group from the adjacent dropdown drop-down list.
  4. Enter the meta variable for the parameter Pkt IP Var.
  5. Click Save to save the changes, or Undo Edits to cancel all changes.
