  1. Log on to the SBC BMC using the IP address configured in the previous sections. The SBC BMC main screen appears.

  2. Click Configuration > Users. The User Management screen is displayed.

  3. Select the root user from the user list.

  4. Click Modify User.

  5. Select Change Password option.
  6. Enter a new password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.

    Follow these criteria to set a new password:

    - should  should contain a minimum of 8 characters

    - should  should contain a minimum of 1 uppercase character

    - should  should contain a minimum of 1 special character

    - should  should contain a minimum of 1 lowercase character

    - should  should contain a minimum of 1 special character

    - should  should contain a minimum of 1 numeric character

  7. Click Modify to complete the password change.

The new password gets activated for the next BMC login.
