Example

System Name

Specifies the name to be assigned on the system and it should be unique string.

Local Hostname

Specifies the local host name of the SBC.

Peer Hostname

Specifies the peer host name of the SBC.

For standalone application, the Peer Hostname will be “none”.

If you want to setup the standalone system for a future HA upgrade,
you should just configure the Peer Hostname something other than “none”.
For example, WFDSBC01b. Later, when you want to add the HA system,
just install the standby peer and connect the HA cables.

Server Role

Specifies the role of the SBC platform. Role can be Active or Standby.

The Server Role of the standalone system must be Active.

Personality

Specifies the role of PSX. The user have the option to choose the embedded routing engine (ERE) or Install embedded PSX (ePSX).

Note

SBC 5400 does not support ePSX installation.

Use embedded routing engine (ERE) and/or external PSX or Install embedded PSX (ePSX). For example, if the user selected ePSX option, then the user must install and configure the ePSX in a separate installation procedure.

 NTP Server IP

Specifies the private IP address of the NTP server. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 address.
