A zone is used to group a set of objects unique in a particular customer environment. A zone can also be referenced by a SIP or H.323 trunk Group.
To View Zone
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Base Provisioning > Zone.
The Zone window is displayed.

The Zone can be checked for each Address Context or for all the Address Contexts created. Use the drop-down box to select the desired Address Context.

To Edit Zone
To edit any of the Zones in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Zone name.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.
To Create Zone
To create a new Zone, click New Zone tab on the Zone List panel.

Name
| Specifies the name of the zone. Must be 1-23 characters. The value ranges up to 23 characters. Info |

ID
| Unique ID of this zone. The value ranges from 1 to 4096. Info |

Disable Zone Level Loop Detection | If disabled (default), Global Loop Detection flag takes precedence. If enabled, Loop Detection is disabled, irrespective of Global Loop Detection flag.

DNS Group
| The name of the DNS group. Select the DNS group from the drop-down list. |
Remote Device Type | Specifies the type of device facing this Zone. The options are: None (default)

Domain Name | Specifies the name of the fully qualified domain name for this Zone. The value ranges up to 63 characters. |
SIP Register Relay | Enable flag to relay REGISTER using the routes from PSX. Options are: Disabled (default)

Dialog Transparency | This parameter specifies if dialog transparency is enabled for SIP messages processed in that zone. If enabled, SBC sends "Call-ID", "From" tag, and "To" tag transparently in the outgoing message. Info |

| To enable Dialog Transparency for a zone, first disable all Sip Sig Port for that zone. |
Disabled (default): SBC translates the dialog identifiers in the Target-Dialog header received in INVITE and REFER messages and sends the Target-Dialog header with translated dialog identifiers on the other leg.
Enabled : Target-Dialog header translation is not performed. However, the header is transparently passed if configured in transparency profile.

Flexible Policy Adapter Profile | Use this Zone/Trunk Group parameter to associate a Sip Adapter Profile configured for flexible policy (Profile Type =Flexible Polic y ) with a particular Zone/Trunk Group. If Flexible Policy Adapter Profile is provisioned both at the trunk group and zone levels, the trunk group’s profile takes precedence. SIP Header For Anonymous Call | Set this parameter to Remote Party ID to allow the SBC to pick the SIP Header for anonymous call handling. This flag is used for calls from surrogate registered endpoints when the username in the FROM header is received as anonymous. None – The SBC uses default behavior.Remote Party IdID – The SBC picks the SIP Header when a username in the FROM header is received as anonymous.

To Delete Zone
To delete any of the created Zone, click the radio button next to the specific Zone which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click Yes to remove the specific Zone from the list. A success message is displayed.

Click Ok to complete the deletion process.
Zone Commands
The zone commands are available from both system-level and configure modes. These command allows you to perform system-level commands against a particular zone, such as recovering blacklisted endpoints and resetting statistics counts on all signaling ports.
When a zone is selected from the Zone List window, the Zone Commands window is displayed at the bottom of the Zone window.
