Ensure that you import the SBC1K2K_SCOM.MP into SCOM 2007 and SBC1K2K_SCOM.MPB into SCOM 2012. If the SCOM 2007 Management Pack file is imported into SCOM 2012, the import will not return meaningful errors, but the discovery will fail. |
Importing the Management Pack into SCOM

- Launch the System Center Operations Manager.
- Go to Administration.
In the navigation tree, go to Management Packs > Import Management Packs....

Click Add.
Select Add from disk....

Click Yes in the Online Catalog Connection dialog.

- Click the file in the file list.
- Click Open.
the appropriate downloaded file:
- For SCOM 2007, select the
SBC1K2K_SCOM.MP
file - For SCOM 2012, select the
SBC1K2K_SCOM.MPB
file
You are now ready to Install the Management Pack.
Installing the Management Pack

In the Select Management Packs window, click Install.
You will see the progress indicator scrolling as the file is installed.
- When the installation process has finished, click Close.
Verify the Installation
- Press F5 on your keyboard to refresh the list.
Verify that the Sonus SCOM Management Pack appears in the list.
Troubleshooting
supports SBC 1000 and SBC 2000 support SNMPv2c and the standard port 161 is used. The SCOM Management Pack (MP) is related to the discovery of the SBC by mapping the object identifiers (OID's) to various components in the SCOM object model. Once the Management Pack is downloaded and imported into SCOM, the
SNMP management address has to be created in the SBC.
