This page guides you through the import and installation procedure of the the Sonus SCOM Management  Management Pack onto the the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 tool.

Downloading the Sonus SCOM Management Pack

The Sonus SCOM management pack is available for download from the the Sonus SBC Edge Download Center. 

1. From the the Sonus SBC Edge Download Center
   1. For SCOM 2007, download the the SBC1K2K_SCOM.MP file file
   2. For SCOM 2012, download the SBC1K2K_SCOM.MPB file file
2. Save the Management Pack file in a convenient location on the the SCOM host machine

1. Launch the System Center Operations Manager.
2. Go to Administration.

3. In the navigation tree, go to to Management Packs > Import Management Packs....

4. Select the appropriate downloaded file:

5. 1. For SCOM 2007, select the the SBC1K2K_SCOM.MP file file
   2. For SCOM 2012, select the SBC1K2K_SCOM.MPB file file

 

Installing the Management Pack

1. In the Select Management Packs window, click click Install. 
   You will see the progress indicator scrolling as the file is installed.

2. When the installation process has finished, click click Close.

 

Verify the Installation

1. Press Press F5 on  on your keyboard to refresh the list.

2. Verify that the the Sonus SCOM SCOM Management Pack appears in the list.

supports SNMPv2c and the standard port 161 is used. The SCOM Management Pack (MP) is related to the discovery of the SBC by mapping the object identifiers (OID's) to various components in the SCOM object model. Once the Management Pack is downloaded and imported into SCOM, the the SNMP management address has  has to be created in the SBC.
