The Cleared Alarms status displays all the alarms which are cleared across all managed objects.

To View Cleared Alarms

On the

Spacevars

 main screen, go to Monitoring > Dashboard > Alarms > Cleared Alarms. The Cleared Alarms window is displayed.

The Cleared Alarm Status screen displays the following fields:

Specifies the status of the alarm. This field displays only the Cleared alarms in the

Comments

Specifies comments on the alarm. Comment can be specific to the alarm instance.

Time

The timestamp of when the alarm was cleared.

Description

A short description of the event message. This is system generated message.

By default, the Cleared Alarms screen displays only five cleared alarms status. You can select the number of alarms you want to view in the Show entries drop-down list.

The total number of records available is displayed at the left bottom of the panel. An option to navigate between the pages is available at the right bottom of the panel. It also displays the current page number that you are viewing.

Filters

You can now filter the alarms to view only the required alarms. All the filter options are right above their respective columns. Here are the filter options:

  • Severity Filter: Severity filter displays only the alarms with the selected severity. The severity options, All, Urgent, Major, Minor, and Info are provided in a drop-down box. By default, the filter option is set to All.
  • Status Filter: Status filter displays only the alarms with the selected type of Status. The Status options, All, and Cleared are provided in a drop-down box. By default, the filter option is set to All.
  • Comments Filter: Comments filter displays alarms with any specific comment (if any). You should be aware of the alarm comment for which you are performing the filter.
  • Time/Date Range Filter: Time/Date Range filter displays all the alarms within the specified time or date duration. A calender with time is provided as an option for you to select the duration and time for which you want to perform the filter functionality.

  • Alarm Description Filter: Alarms Description filter displays only those specific alarms which matches the description text entered in the filter. You should be aware of the text that would exist as a part of the alarm description to fetch the correct results. This is system generated message.

You can refresh the screen using the refresh button  provided just below the filter option.

To Edit Cleared Alarm

To edit any of the Cleared Alarms listed, click the radio button next to the specific Alarm name.

The following fields are displayed:

  • Additional Info: This field displays any additional information about the alarm if available.
  • Reported: Specifies the node from which the alarm is triggered.
  • Type: This field specifies the type of alarm (Urgent, Major, Minor, and Info).
  • Comments: If there are any additional comments for this alarm, you can add them here. This is the only field which is editable.

Add additional information in Comments  text box and click Save to save your edits.

Enable Live Feed

Enabling Live Feed will update the alarms automatically. The Alarms table gets updated periodically. If there are any new alarms when Live Feed is enabled, the alarm gets listed in the table. If it is disabled, you have to refresh the table manually.
