This command allows to determine the reachability of the peer IP and peer port using the specified transport.

On SBC main screen, go to Troubleshooting > CallTrace and Logs > Cmds. The Commands window is displayed.

Select optionsPing command from the drop-down list and click Select. A pop-up window appears with the required fields to be filled.

Description

Sig Port

Specifies the Signaling Port to use for the ping. This field is mandatory.

Peer IP Address

Specifies the Peer SIP Address to ping. Enter IPv4 address in the following format:

  • IPv4 - This is V4 IP address in dotted decimal form (for example 128.127.50.224).
  • IPv6 - This is V6 IP address in hexadecimal/colon form (for example, 1280:1276:3350:2224:2222:3333:8888:1245 or fd00:21:445:128::7880).

This field is mandatory.

Peer Port

Specifies the Peer SIP Port Number to ping.

Transport

Specifies the Transport Protocol to use. Select any one of the following transport type:

  • tcp
  • tls
  • udp
Peer FQDNSpecifies the value for peer SIP FQDN.

Click optionsPing once all the required fields are added. The result of this action is displayed.

Click OK to exit.
