When you initially configure

platform, you must choose between one of the following modes. See Refer to Routing and Policy Management for a comparison of the two modes.

• Embedded Routing Engine (ERE) – which is a light version of the PSX Policy Server for small to medium size networks with no complex routing.
• ePSX – Includes all the functionality of the PSX and eliminates the need for an additional physical PSX server. The ePSX is designed for larger networks with complicated routing.
• External PSX – A physical centralized policy and call routing server for SBC.
