These instructions assume that your SWe Lite is upgraded to Release 7.0; the system must be running 7.0 to support 1, 2 or 4 vCPUs (depending on your license). See Working with Licenses |
Starting in 7,0, the SWe Lite supports the following:
- For Memory (RAM), valid settings are 1 GiB, 2 GiB, or 4 GiB.
- For vCPUs, valid settings are 1, 2 or 4 CPUs.

Access the desired VM with the desired SWe Lite instance.
Click Edit virtual matchine settings
In Memory Size, update the amount of memory.

- Login into a terminal access software (such as Putty), and log into the KVM server.
- From the list, click on the applicable VM instance.
- Power down the VM.
- Select Edit > Virtual Machine Details
- Select View > Details or click the Image Addedicon
From the menu, click CPUs.The SWe Lite supports 1, 2, or 4 vCPUs.

SWe Lite on Microsoft Hyper-V
- Launch Hyper-V Manager from the Windows Start menu.
- Power down the VM in which you will be adding vCPUs and RAM.
- Right-click on the desired VM instance and select Settings.
- Click on Memory. Each SWe Lite instance with 1 vCPU requires 1024 MiB (1GiB) RAM; this amount is increased according to the number of vCPUs. See Memory Requirements.

- Click on the applicable VM instance
- Power down the VM.
- From the Getting Started tab, click Edit virtual machine settings.
